What does your face say about you?

So, you want to participate.  Great!  This is a project to see if photos of people can be used to identify personality traits.  No subject who completes the sign-up process will be rejected so long as the rules are followed below.

THE PROCESS

Once you complete the sign-up forms (see below), and your photos are submitted and reviewed, you will receive approximately 40 statements about yourself usually within 2 business days.  At that time, all we ask is that you review each statement, and indicate if it is correct and incorrect, and return your feedback back to us. We encourage elaboration, if you are comfortable. That's all there is to this!  Are you ready?

BEFORE YOU BEGIN

Here are some things to consider before you submit your photo.

SEE EXAMPLES OF ACCEPTABLE AND UNACCEPTABLE PHOTOS  Many people don't check out what is acceptable and end up having to resubmit photos. One click saves us both time!

1. You are only allowed to enter yourself. Do not enter someone on their behalf or as them. Any entrant that acts on behalf of someone else will be eliminated from this project and barred from any further participation.

2. To ensure a good reading, your photographs must be representative of how you see yourself -- no funny facial expressions will be accepted. You must be relaxed and looking at the camera.

3. Photos can be candid shots, a snapshot, or a self-portrait.  No artistic photography, please. No enhancements, filters, color adjustments, etc. We need to see you as you really look.

4. Do not submit any professional photos as we will not accept them. We do not want to infringe on any copyrighted works.

5. All three photos must contain your entire face (no sunglasses!), and should include your hair, but they do not have to include anything else. 

6. Ideally, photos should be as big and show your face equally in size like the two photos in the header of this page, and no smaller.  Ideal size is 1024 x 768 pixels.

7. No blurry or pixilated photos will be accepted.

8. You must be 18 years old to participate, and from the U.S.A.

9. By participating, you agree to provide feedback to your face review in a timely manner (1-3 days).  Feedback is critical to this project.  If you are not going to provide feedback, do not participate.
