AGREEMENT

Here is the legal mumbo jumbo. We just want to set expectations so everyone is comfortable.

NOTE: All the statements in purple and in the brackets "[]" are an explanation to help you understand the agreement.  It is not a part of the agreement itself.

1. I warrant that I am at least 18 years of age and have the capacity to enter into this agreement.   
   
   [You have to be legally able to enter into this agreement.]
    
2. I warrant that these photographs are of me and that the information I provide is true and correct. 
   
   [In order for this to work, it has got to be you and you have to tell us the truth.]
    
3. I warrant that granting and exercising the license under this agreement (giving Face Clues LLC a non-exclusive right to use this photos) will not infringe a copyright or violate anyone's personal rights.  
   
   [Photographs are under copyright law.  We do not want to violate anybody else's copyrights.  We have to trust you that you are not sending us a photograph that is going to get us in trouble, which would include photographs from a studio.  So if you took the picture, great!  If not, please make sure it is O.K. with the person who took the picture.]
    
4. I agree to indemnify and hold harmless Face Clues LLC in the event that a claim is made against them related to the purposes of this agreement. 
   
   [Somebody may try to send us a picture from a studio or something like that.  Hopefully, we will catch it, but if we don't, we are not going to pay for it.]
    
5. I grant an irrevocable license to reproduce, publish, and make a derivative work from any written communications or photograph I have provided for the purpose of this agreement in any medium of expression.
   
   [You are granting us the right to use the photograph and your responses. We want to share this project with people because it can help people learn about the power of faces. Your name will never be attached to your photos or responses]
   
    
6. Every license granted by me under this agreement shall be in consideration for interpreting any photograph provided under this agreement, the sufficiency of which I acknowledge. I expect no royalties or other remuneration in consideration for granting such licenses.  
   
   [You are not expecting anything more than an analysis.]
    
7. I acknowledge that this is an experiment. No representations or warranties are made to me concerning the accuracy of the photograph interpretation, the presence of defects or errors, nor of a fitness for a particular purpose.
   
   [This is an experiment.  We are not promising that the information will be accurate, that you can use it to change your life, or anything like that.]
